Arctic Insulated Panels has celebrated a major milestone after taking home two awards at the Local Business Awards in Darwin. Arctic was first recognised when they took home the award for Outstanding Manufacturing Business 2026, celebrating Arctic’s continued commitment to quality, innovation and growth within the manufacturing industry.
The night became even more memorable when Arctic was announced as the award winner of Overall Business of the Year 2026, marking an incredible achievement for the company and its team. The awards recognise the collective efforts of Arctic’s manufacturing, installation, sales, administration, operations and management teams, as well as the ongoing support of its customers, suppliers and industry partners.

Arctic Installations Reaches New Heights in Cyclone-Ready Manufacturing
Darwin-based Arctic Installations has achieved a major milestone, successfully meeting cyclone certification standards after rigorous testing at James Cook University’s Cyclone Testing Station. The tests proved the company’s insulated panels can withstand extreme wind pressures and serviceability demands - a huge win for Northern Australia’s manufacturing sector. The achievement is part of a collaborative project supported by the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre through the Advanced Manufacturing Ecosystem Fund, alongside partners MDI Systems and Rapid Engineering NT. Together, they’re building the capability to produce high-performance panels designed for tropical and cyclone-prone regions. Arctic Installations is now preparing to scale up production and expand its exports, with its panels already reaching markets like East Timor. The company’s growth not only highlights local innovation but also reinforces Darwin’s role as a hub for advanced manufacturing built for the North’s toughest conditions.
Arctic Insulated Panels has secured a second round of R&D funding through the Advanced Manufacturing Ecosystem Fund to develop innovative building products designed for tropical climates.
The project will focus on creating energy‑efficient, durable soffit boards engineered to withstand the heat, humidity, and cyclonic conditions of the Northern Territory. This funding supports Arctic’s growth and enable's local manufacturing, boosting jobs, and expanding the company’s product line for broader market rollout

Arctic has officially achieved CodeMark Certification, marking a major milestone in compliance, quality and national recognition. This certification confirms that Arctic’s Solace and Flushline Panels meet the requirements of the National Construction Code, giving builders, government agencies and commercial clients confidence that Arctic’s solutions are officially recognised for use across Australia. The achievement reinforces Arctic’s position as a leader in manufacture, supply and installation of high-performance, insulated panels that provide building solutions for projects.
Bushfire Attack Level
Arctic has achieved a BAL-29 (Bushfire Attack Level) rating, demonstrating our commitment to delivering high-performance building solutions designed to meet Australian bushfire construction requirements. BAL-29 applies to buildings that may be exposed to increasing levels of ember attack, burning debris and radiant heat of up to 29 kW/m² during a bushfire. Achieving suitability for BAL-29 applications means Arctic’s Insulated Panels systems has been assessed against relevant bushfire construction requirements for its intended use.
Arctic Insulated Panels Sponsee Sam "Bull" - Chasing the Dream
Arctic Insulated Panels is proud to sponsor Sam and support a young rider who demonstrates determination, commitment and the courage to chase big goals. At just 12 years old, Sam has been riding dirt bikes since he was four and racing competitively for the past three years. Motorcross is more than a sport to him, it’s his therapy, his passion and something that makes him feel great. He loves the competition, and the challenge of pushing himself to become faster and better.
Sam trains every week at the motorcross track in Darwin, alongside his dad, who is also his coach and biggest supporter. Sam has already competed in some major events, including the Hattah Desert Race, Junior Nationals, Junior Finke, King of the Gulf, enduro events and qualified for finals and numerous championship rounds.

Sam’s dedication to his racing, his drive to continually improve and the strong family involvement behind him are all qualities we’re proud to support. Currently riding a Husqvarna 85, Sam has big ambitions and ultimately wants to become a professional motorcross racer.
